The Play That Goes Wrong is a comedic play written by Mischief Theatre Company that follows the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they attempt to put on a 1920s murder mystery called The Murder at Haversham Manor. The play is a play-within-a-play that's full of mishaps and misadventures, including forgotten lines, broken scenery, and disappearing props. The cast and crew struggle to keep the show going, and things go from bad to worse when there are misunderstandings, fires, and a collapsing set.
